Nest driver release for Google Accounts

Recommended Posts

I tread lightly on this subject because as we mostly know I still have a Nest TStat and 3 sensors as well have a Nest Hello in my project even though I bought a current Ecobee, sensors and a Ring Pro and some Ring Floods sitting on my bench. (And I bought the Ring driver)

Mitch - what are your thoughts (I don’t really use the TStat in programming)? Should I move it over to Google and ditch the idea of the Ecobee for now? The Nest Hello still won’t have any integration, but maybe I wait a while before I switch it out for the Ring Pro.

Current issues with old Nest driver:

Nest TStat:

No Home/Away Control.

Control of Setpoints are very sluggish

Neat Hello:

Zero Integration

What is the name of the driver? Does the controller have to be updated to find the new driver?

Is Nest protect yet out of the new driver? What the hell is wrong with these people?

I’m waiting for this too - crazy they can’t be added yet. Just need them to report if there is an alarm or not so I can tie that into a report to my alarm company for remote monitor- and I want program off that alarm event of course.
