Looping macros

Hi,

Using Home Composer.  I have shades set up via scheduler but would rather have all instructions for a particular room set up in one place.  I can do this by programming a macro that tests for the time of day and executes instructions.  However, this implies a macro that loops forever.  Is this ok or am I boycotting the whole system?

Thanks

Link the programming to a variable that updates based on changes in time of day. For example, I use scheduler to set 'morning, day, dusk' etc. as a variable for my time-based lighting and then have a script that runs every time the variable is updated to set lighting presets. The same design would work for your use case (and could be room-specific). Hope this is helpful.
