Time2Jet
Why do I feel as though there used to be a Sonos interface in C4? If there is, what am I missing? No option anywhere in composer to show the interface. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
chopedogg88
? You just add the Sonos driver to the project and it will show the Sonos interface when selected from the listen menu. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
chopedogg88
Of course the Sonos interface is just a list of stations and playlists which have been saved to My Sonos in the Sonos app. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk msgreenf
msgreenf
Right what do you mean by Sonos interface? You likely have it hidden in the listen menu of the room

chopedogg88
Oh you probably haven't made the proper connection bindings to a room or to a device that powers the speakers in a room (matrix, Amp etc) Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
Time2Jet
Bindings are all good. I don’t had 10 mins before dinner and I hid 20 mins of work. I think I may have unhidden the wrong device (Sonos vs. Sonos Connect). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ERDrPC
Quick question... if we have added Apple music to sonos, will the sonos driver or sonos connect automatically pick it up? I ask because it hasn't

I ask because it hasn't It’s working properly in the Sonos native app? I’m not sure what more you’re looking for the C4 driver to do? It’s not a great interface. Favorites and Playlists, no searching or selecting of services. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Time2Jet
No other zones are showing in sessions. I can’t figure this out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We are okay to use the sonos app but need a way to select it quickly from listen. Right now my sonos is for Sirius as I'm located in Canada but have a US sirius account. If someone could tell me that I can use a sirius USA account with native c4 sirius then that would be a great surprise.

You cannot put Sonos services on the control for listen menu any longer

You cannot put Sonos services on the control for listen menu any longer so that's why my listen says sirius but it goes thru sonos. It's been renamed. Do you think I could have a second instance of the sonos driver but rename it in listen as Apple music?
msgreenf
No. You may still be using the old Sonos driver?
ERDrPC
So how do people chose listen and a sonos source if it can't be put in the listen menu?
msgreenf
Many conversations about this. Search. But the new Sonos driver released a few years ago only supports favorites in the Control4 interface at the request of Sonos.
ERDrPC
one good thing - SiriusXM add music driver will allow the US stream in Canada!! Now...I can change Sonos from SIrius XM to Apple music. I need it almost like an experience button but a listen option. There must be a way to have it as a listen source. I understand that once I chose it, I will have to switch over to the sonos app to control apple music itself.
msgreenf
Add music driver uses c4 native steaming. Nothing with Sonos

msgreenf
You can easily select Sonos but not apple music

Just use the app in the 1st place. If configured properly c4 will know it’s playing so can still use volume buttons etc through C4. It's much easier for my family to chose listen thru C4 for a zone then go to the sonos app to control apple music
