Chowmain - Gefen EXT-CU-LAN Driver for Control4

The Gefen EXT-CU-LAN Matrix Controller is a hardware platform designed to manage and control the Gefen family of Video and KVM over IP products in a virtual matrix environment. Its comprehensive and user-friendly interface can be accessed by any web-enabled device, including phones, tablets, and PCs. End-users can control matrix routing and access presets, no matter the size and complexity of the system. It also manages access to the AV network, providing two independent levels of security for administrators and end-users. With applications ranging from broadcast, rental/staging, control rooms, security, digital signage, campus/education, to multi-room AV, the EXT-CU-LAN provides a complete and cost-effective solution for managing video and audio in classrooms, conference rooms, command centers, and as the backbone of any high performance system that needs to interface with multiple sources and displays, AV formats, and resolutions in a dynamic environment.

FAQ

How much does this driver cost?
This driver is sponsored by Gefen and is FREE of charge

What is the maximum amount of senders and receivers supported by the driver?

The driver will support upto 64 senders and 64 receivers.

When should I change the Unit Polling Frenquency value?

The more senders/receivers you have connected to the unit, the longer it takes to report the state of each device to the driver.  You may need to increase the polling time if you find the response to changes is sluggish (due to the number of senders/receivers or network latency). Another indicator that this number should be increased is if the Lua output window is constantly scrolling when Debug Mode is set to Print. This means that the driver is polling the unit quicker than the unit can respond.

I've changed the state of an input/output however, the change hasn't occurred as expected?

As it is possible to send route, mask and block commands programatically, we have added a button to the Actions tab to print out the current state of all connected routes and associated masks and blocks, in the Lua Output window.

How do I find out more information about the driver?
