timmypop
C4 8x8 HDMI Matrix C4 Matrix Audio 16v3 Sources: DirecTV1, DirecTV2, Xbox, Fire, APTV1, APTV2 I'm going to rewire my rack and I was wondering about the best practice on the HDMI switch with stereo audio out. It is a wire mess with Binary stereo to rca cables of fixed length. Is there a better way and do I really need one output for each source listed above? mstafford388
If you're feeding an audio matrix to get the sound from those sources through your house audio system yes you would want an audio feed for each source from the HDMI matrix to the audio matrix. timmypop
Thanks @mstafford388 Any suggestion on a better interconnect cable to use than a factory length cable? Seems like the PlanetWaves 3.5toRCA adapter would be too big to get all of them in there as the ports are very close together. I'd like to do a custom length cable for better wire management. How did you C4 wizzards install and connect this HDMI switch to a matrix audio switch?
mstafford388
We use factory cables for all interconnects within a rack and they look great when done. We do have all different lengths on hand in .5m increments though.
