Yale August Lights Automation

Recommended Posts

Hi! I am trying to set an automation using MyControl4. When the Yale August Lock (yale assured lever by August YRL 226-CBA-619) is unlocked to turn on some lights if between 7pm and 5:30am, but for some reason is not working. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong or how to set the automation?

I have a Yale deadbolt lock with the august module in it. Obviously the first step is to link your august account to Control4. Once that’s done you can easily program the lighting in when then. I have it set up like this—

when unlocked during the daytime (before sunset) turn the lights to 100%

when locked during the daytime (before sunset) turn the lights off

when unlocked at night (after sunset) turn lights on to 100%

when locked at night (after sunset) turn lights on to 30%

This works great for me and I always know if my door is locked or unlocked when I walk up to it. Hope this helps!
