Yale Lock

Has anyone had success with finding a way to integrate Yale Conexis L1 lock into C4? My understanding is C4 didn’t support it but I’m hoping that has changed.

I believe if you speak to your dealer they sell a module for it which enables z-wave / c4 integration

We have the Yale Assure SL deadbolt integrated with C4.  You need to purchase a Zigbee module through the dealer or search eBay.

I have a multipoint door so only the Conexis L1 is suitable. The old version which had a keypad on it was supported so struggling to understand why the current version wouldn’t work.

Did you ever get any joy with this? Have had an enquiry about modules for this lock, but can't find compatibility information.

Cheers

I did. It was an easy fix in the end. All you need to do is press the identify button 3 times instead of the normal 4 with C4.

The only think I would say, there isn’t much you can do. Because of the way multipoint locks work you can’t lock the door but you can unlock. The only useful element for me is to get the status of the lock so I know of it’s been locked or not.

This lock does not track user entry or anything as far as I have seen.

Hope that helps.

Yes it is a bit odd as the customer has already been told they are not compatible with the Conexis L1 by Yale. I just wanted to confirm this. Would you do me a huge favour and let me know the firmware version and age of your lock? The customers version is 1.0.0 (from Bluetooth app)

I also wonder about ZigBee range as the doors are 6 to 10m from the EA Controller. Unfortunately this is a remote install so I'm relying on customer feedback, I've never visited the job.

Thanks in advance for the information.

Yes Yale and Control4 told me the lock wasn’t supported and I had given up with getting it ID’d. It was only the fact I happened to speak to someone who had actually done it so I gave it a try. 3 button presses and then ID’d in.

My firmware version is 1.1.0 and I think I installed it late 2019.

As for zigbee range I’m not sure as I have a keypad next to the door so it’s never been an issue for me.

Hope that helps.
