jenn2021
Our Control4 system started having connectivity issues yesterday out of the blue. The controller won't connect to the remote or mobile app, streaming media connected to it won't play, etc. It seems to be an issue related to our network. Rebooting our router (an Xfiniti xFi Gateway) takes care of the problem temporarily, but within 10 minutes or so, Control4 disconnects again. I've done some research online and it looks like it may be an IP or DNS related issue, but I'm not sure how to fix it. Anyone have any suggestions? I had a similar problem with my system that was troubleshooted in the following thread What ended up working for me was setting the DNS settings in my main router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 instead of automatically determined by my ISP (Verizon Fios in this case). After rebooting the modem followed by the router and C4 controller everything is working good again.
