Yes, however I was going to work out if someone had a unit they would like to sell me cheaply.. but I will go the $300 repair route if there's no other option. As per AK1's reply, the dealer option with the unit being out of warranty is the Repair option.. just thought I might be able to source one cheaper than that option.. will probably go for the repair I guess.
