AK1 197
Other option may be to "repair" it if it is still within the repair window. Approx. $300 from memory and you are typically sent a B stock unit which is essentially new and has some warranty.

So I have 2 options here, Selling the unit to someone who has a working screen but dead internals and they want to fix theirs, or if someone has the unit with dead internals but a good touchscreen with no touch issues and they would like to sell it to me. PM me if you would like to buy the unit with your Offer. or PM me if you have a T3 10" WALL for sale which doesn't power up (dead internals) but you know has a 100% working touchscreen. This is a known defect from C4. Has your dealer discussed the issue with C4 directly?

Yes, however I was going to work out if someone had a unit they would like to sell me cheaply.. but I will go the $300 repair route if there's no other option.

As per AK1's reply, the dealer option with the unit being out of warranty is the Repair option.. just thought I might be able to source one cheaper than that option.. will probably go for the repair I guess. This is manufacturing defect on a single purpose $1k touch screen... its a shame you guys let your dealer get away with not covering it.

Control4 says because the unit is over 5 years old, it cannot be repaired or replaced under RMA.

Oh I see. And if you bought a $5,000 television over 5 years ago would you expect Best Buy to cover it? RyanE and msgreenf

dinom 46
Right, it used to be that you could return any item back to Costco at any time, even many years later.
