WildCopperAV
I beleive that a Control 4 processor has Node.JS built in. Is it possible to utilise it from a driver?
-defunct-
Nope. If you do, you will be asked to not use it or stop making drivers.
WildCopperAV
OK was just curious. I have no need to. Can you explain why I would be asked to not use it?
-defunct-
It is against Control4's policy since it changes Control4's OS configuration. The policy was put in place because a developer caused a bunch of tech support calls due to messing with an OS config file around node and nginx. Instead, you are free to make a driver to talk to your own node.js server on a rhaspberry pi or something else.
WildCopperAV
Fair enough. And yes I have already been using a PI for node exactly as you describe, so will stick with that.
