am350z
Well maybe with the updated api Control4 can develop or fix the driver to actually function properly. It was always poor anyways with known issues with heating display and button toggle issues.
nxr
Anyone get a response from Jandy regarding time to fix driver issue?
discipulus1
Following. Same issues and just spent way too long on this before I finally looked on here. SMH. I hope C4 can get a new updated driver out asap.
am350z
Agree. Obviously a large number of C4 owners have pools and there are really 3 main control units, Jandy, Pentair and Hayward. C4 has not made pool automation important even though all 3 are list on the website as partners. Disappointing.
dinom
I guess I’m lucky I went with the serial control, even thought the cost for the adapter was crazy. Works locally and doesn’t need cloud access. DawnGordon
discipulus1
What sucks is I use to have the serial controller but swapped to this as it was easier to use the web GUI to make changes to the variable speed pumps etc. i should have kept both!
dinom
I have both so I can still use the Jandy app and web interface.
discipulus1
I might have to ask my dealer if the Older serial system is still there and if they can add the driver back in.
am350z
Good luck! In summary for me, Jandy no longer works, using Jandy app. MyQ garage no longer works, using MyQ app. C4 matrix went out, using a few Sonos speakers. Alarm Vista 128bpt not supported in C4 new os. Sigh. At least local control of my theater still works. anon2828 and zac2021
discipulus1
I ddidmt know the Vista alarms are t supported. Eff…. I wonder what I’ll need to buy for that next
am350z
The consumer grade vistas are but the 128bpt is commercial line due to number of zones and sensors.

She also stated that they (Jandy) typically reaches out to the home automation companies to notify them once the API is ready. Anyone else contact them ? Curious to see what reply they gave you? thanks I was told this same response back in may.
Dave w
API has been fixed and C4 notified. Just waiting on driver updates.....
antneed
Wonder how we would know when this does happen? wish Control4 had more media and information to its users. like perhaps an weekly email newsletter etc?

I understand that frustration and its equally shared on our end. Honestly and unfortunately that is what should be the responsibility and job of your dealer. It's a professionally managed system and this is where a lot of end users get left.

Paul S
Hi Does anyone know the usual time for Control4 to release driver updates. The API has been available for many weeks, but its sounds as if no-one has heard any updates or even an ETA. It could be that Control4 don't see this as a priority, which is worrying. Paul It takes them somewhere between a few days and never....depending on priority. They aren't typically going to give out updates though so one day a fix wont be there, the next day it will. I've since read the comment on the control4 tech site, and its not promising 'That work is underway but is expected to take some time' I do have a RS232 Jandy device, which I removed from the system a couple of years ago. So will set that back up and change the driver over. Paul

He then went and double-checked and was told that the Jandy team is working with Control4 on the API. Hopefully fixed sometime soon within next 2 weeks. Q: Anyone know why when it first stopped working the interface for the pool showed on all Control4 navigators but just didn't do anything. Now when I go into the Pool control it is a black screen that says "This device has not been configured. Please contact your Smart Home Pro." I think the time it stopped working with the C4 system is about the same time they rolled out native Jandy controls for Alexa. In the past, I could control everything fine using C4, but since the new Alexa integration, I’ve been unable to control/monitor anything through C4. Dave w
No sir. I had both native Alexa/Jandy and C4 working for some time. It was a later API update that broke it.
l3anks
There's an updated driver now in beta testing. This is using the new iaqualink API and looks promising so far. Hopefully there will be limited issues and will release soon
