rchawla80
Hi everyone -We had a video matrix with 3 cameras installed outside our house with an LCD screen to view the cameras. We had a power surge and I think the Matrix died! or the cameras. In anycase, this was not controlled through our C4 for some strange reason but I am thinking what to put in now? If I had to start from scratch. What would you suggest for a 3 camera system with C4? How do I integrate this?In terms of wiring, I have 3 video lines going to the cameras meeting in one place. That's about it. I am thinking some wireless system? But what is sustainable, reasonable and dependable?Thoughts, Ideas? Products? Thanks
thecodeman
You can use Panasonic's line of IP cameras ( http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/shop/Cameras-Camcorders/Network-Cameras/Network-Cameras.list.84503_11002_7000000000000005702) or Axis IP cameras, or any analog camera with an IP server such as the Axis 4 camera server. rchawla80
Does this require ethernet? I have no Cat5 to the location as I recall? Thanks

rchawla80
so technically if I have the cameras installed and the analog wiring running, what server would I need to integrate to C4?Thanks
thecodeman
Something like the Axis 241Q, which already has drivers written for it.
