My understanding is that these have been replaced with the newer Leaf units. Can I simply swap out the one unit (have 5 total) or does it require upgrading additional equipment on the other end? LU1E are getting a little harder to find these days, but there are other baluns that will work too. Topfox Posted September 9, 2021 Share Posted September 9, 2021 Here is a thread ive had before where folks recommended some others you could use, but you will lose other features most likely. Example you will potentially have to plug a different balun into a wall outlet for power and if you are using the LAN port on the LU1E, you won’t have that option on another balun. With that said, I’ve bought a lot of used LU1E with pretty good success. I know it can be a personal preference to buy new, which is cool, but figured I’d mention it.
