Rog78
Looking for a bit of advice, ive just done a small project and the Plumbers have missed off a switch live off to the boiler, the customer has asked if anything could be done so it can be controlled via Control4 app without costing too much. I have a permanent 230v supply at the boiler so was thinking of installing an IO/relay unit and programming this to be a timer on the app but im a bit unsure of the best way to go about this. Thanks
zaphod
You need a big relay, but I think there is another name for this. I have something like this for my pool pump. Then it is driven by any type of relay, like a Z2IO, controller,or even a C4 switch.
Cyknight
Why not just use a 'regular' C4 switch? NA version is rated 120-277v. Just cut line, put a surface mount box in place, install switch in it.
RAV
Confirming this isn't the emergenecy cut off switch that is required by code for boiler?
Rog78
Thanks for the reply’s, it’s only switching low current on the boiler max 3 amp. C4 switch is a good shout. What would be the best way to do it? Use the schedule? Could the customer then adjust this schedule through the ui? thanks
