c44me
Had 4 computer speakers working in surround... 2 started buzzing so tossed them. Need a new setup if anyone has suggestions? Currently have 2 Yamaha speakers only. Tried a cheap M2 soundbar (with BT sub) running on optical to sound card, but can't seem to get the other 2 speakers working as surrounds with it concurrently... OceanDad
Audioengine A2+. Or the A5+ if you have the space/money. Add a sub if you really need to. Depends what you are using them for. I have the older Audioengine A2 in white on my desk as my Mac mini speakers and they have been great. ekohn00
ekohn00
Just bought the kid A5+ for xmas so he can take them to college. I liked them so much, I'm planning to order the A2+ for my computer. c44me
ejn1
Ditto Audioengines.. If you get the A2's, get the small stand that pivots them up slightly. In that price range they cant be beat. If you want to step up in cost and size there are additional options.. c44me

c44me
Follow up to say these A2 speakers have been fantastic. The other day they stopped working. Called them and an actual human answered, in Texas. He seemed to think the amp had blown, but we decided to try a new power brick first. They had one out in a few days and voila! Problem solved, and they never asked for a dime. Really impressive.
neil12011
Highly recommend the A2's as have been stated above. Also, been rocking these Vanatoo Zero units, for several months, and have been quite impressed. https://vanatoo.com/shop/speakers/transparent-zero/ Also running a SVS SB1000 Pro sub, which may be overkill. ekohn00
Ditto on the A2+. The only exception would be the A5+ but they take up a lot more desk space. Their customer service is beyond amazing.... My son has the A5s and wanted a replacement sleeve (shipping bag which is also very nice) and they had no problems just shipping him a new pair... zaphod
I have a four zone C4 matrix amp in my office. Audio out from the PC into the 4 zone amp which feeds ceiling speakers and bookshelf speakers.
Cyknight
Heh, now that my 7(+3).1(+2).4 system for the family is set, my full 5.1 (that is, in-ceiling speakers and sub on true surround receiver) office is next (and yes I'll be able to pipe video and audio to the family that's right next to the office if I prefer to use my projector setup over my 3 gaming screens).
