Joshua Pressnell Posted April 21, 2022 Share Posted April 21, 2022 I've just released version 1.21 of my driver (https://varietassoftware.com/control4), which now includes support for blinds. This update also requires that you update to the latest version of my homebridge-control4 homebridge plugin, either manually (for those DIY folks out there) or via the Home Hub web portal (for those of you with my software/hardware). With this release complete, I'll be turning my attention to additional device/feature support. Let me know if you have any suggestions! The driver will output blinds via the driver command or via Home Hub device import. Once you save the new device JSON to homebridge, everything should work from there automatically. I got the homebridge driver and appliance updated, but I noticed the changes weren’t flowing through to the Home App. I could tell Siri to close the shades and she didn’t know what I was talking about. So I removed the bridges entirely and re-added it. Now in the home app everything just says “updating” and Siri can’t control anything. I can’t figure out what step I’m missing. For other folks information, there's an option in the driver itself to output all of the relevant device configuration information. For what it’s worth, something was weird with the Home App on my phone. I went through a lengthy process of removing the home, uninstalling the app, disabling iCloud, etc… and eventually was able to get the home app blank again.
