hankbank
Does anyone have experience with the C4 Ipod dock? I assume since it is C4, it has full control over the ipod? Does it also do the iphone (all versions) and not produce the annoying feedback that the iphone can produce around audio equipment? What about the Denon or other brands? thecodeman
Does it also do the iphone (all versions) and not produce the annoying feedback that the iphone can produce around audio equipment? That's because of the radio connection, most notable in EDGE and not 3G. If you turn on Airplane Mode, you won't be able to receive calls or data, but the noise goes away.

bnelson76
If you are wanting to distribute the iPod to more than one room, I would go with the C4 iPod dock. The C4 iPod dock takes an ethernet connection which is for controlling the iPod and receiving feedback. It gives you full control of the dock. The audio out is analog, but can be fed as an input into a controller which then gives the benefits of using zones from the SR250 to add more rooms to the current iPod session. Most of the bugs seem to be worked out of the C4 dock. You can browse all music from the C4 GUI. The Denon uses its own GUI to browse. The biggest benefit is browsing all that music from another controller in another room or from any SR250 remote. This means you browse and play all your music without being in front of the tv. hankbank
Thanks. Doesn't it get tedious with the small screen on the remote and long playlists? Do you have an opinion of a dock versus an apple tv?
Lockettk
Many of the interface issues posted would be eleiminated if C4 would offer an iPod dock that was WiFi vice H/W network connected.Anyone know when a C4 wireless WiFi iPod dock will be available? Control is only sent over ethernet, the audio is output via stereo audio and video is component, so you still have to run it to an amp, tv, or C4 distribution method... Manlyman
If you use only the Network port in the back of the ipod dock will you be able to have full control of the dock, see cover art, playlists, and music and play videos and will I even need to use the 3.5 audio jack or the component output? ILoveC4
It depends on if you want to output over 3.5 mono jack or component...
Manlyman
I would like to run the output from only the Network port if its possible to do that and still have all the functions available.
ILoveC4
The network port is only for control. You need to output it to your amp.EDIT: I should add I don't own one of these, this is just my understanding.
