henniae
What type of heating system do you have installed. There might be other solutions for control besides the t-stat.
ILoveC4
Yeah, I know Control4 thermostats don't work with most multi-zone thermostats. What multi zone system did you install? There is a driver for the Carrier Infinity/Bryant Evolution...if you can track down a SAM.
mtech
it is a carrier furnace but i have separate dampers for different floors so this may not work i am not quite sure
ILoveC4
You need a SAM and the appropriate driver, not C4 thermostats. I have the same system in my home.

ILoveC4
I haven't gotten the damned SAM yet. I found someone who had a few available from a distributor, but I debated on whether or not to buy it (trying to justify the cost) and now he doesn't have any available. He will let me know once he gets more. If anyone has a line in on these at a reasonable price...I'm a buyer. I heard from someone they could get them around $550, but that person hasn't came forward with any for sale, so...
mtech
excuse me for asking but can you explain what a SAM is dan
henniae
excuse me for asking but can you explain what a SAM is danThe SAM is the System Access Module. It is a piece of hardware that provides an interface from your carrier furnace to a home automation system. The SAM will allow you to hook your HVAC system to your C4 system. You would not need to replace the t-stats with C4 t-stats as you would use your existing HVAC t-stats but have control over the entire HVAC system from C4.Here is a link with some additional info.http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=2&ved=0CA4QFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fhvac-talk.com%2Fvbb%2Fattachment.php%3Fattachmentid%3D3061%26d%3D1185394256&rct=j&q=carrier+sam+system+access+module&ei=Qz99S5qnFsSjnQfMvajXBw&usg=AFQjCNGdZWhOU0DT3pFhOe3A48_cuwpaRQ
