Paddy
I probably will only have 4 zones of audio playing, but can anyone tell me the benefit of going to the 8 zone amp. Can the 4 zone amp deliver quality audio to a zone over about 80 feet of speaker wire, when does the audio degrade?

dans
I probably will only have 4 zones of audio playing, but can anyone tell me the benefit of going to the 8 zone amp. Can the 4 zone amp deliver quality audio to a zone over about 80 feet of speaker wire, when does the audio degrade?A couple of things that i am aware of are : The 8 zone has more watts/channel, and 8 sources vs. 4.I currently have a 4 zone and it has plenty of power for my rooms. Most of my speakers are in the 80 feet range from my equipment room and they are great, im using 12 gauge shielded speaker wire for those runs. bebster
4 zone is newer technology and consumes less power when in standby.
