NkySpike65
Is anybody using a stand alone "Motion Sensor" wired directly into their controller or I/O extender? I'm not talking about a motion sensor that is tied into your alarm system. Just a stand alone one...I plan on getting the C4 I/O extender soon and wanted to add some motion sensors to it, and like to know what would be a good one to get. Thanks
RyanE
Yep.Nearly any wired motion sensor will work fine with the Control4 I/O extender or controller. It's just a matter of what features you want (pet immune, downward facing vs. curtain, sensitivity, etc.)They do require 4 wires, 2 for power, 2 for signal, and an additional 2 if you want to hook up the 'tamper' feature on the motion (i.e. it goes off if the cover is removed).RyanE

RyanE
I was only using them for motion lights, so I just picked up some inexpensive ones at ADI.Sorry, don't know the brand. I think they may have been Ademco or a related security brand. They were not horribly expensive, and I did buy them over 10 years ago, they're still going strong.RyanE
