chambrick
Does anybody else keep having problems with their 10.5 touchscreen randomly dropping off the network and having to type the wifi settings back in?
cinemasouthjy
Try setting your wireless access point to a static IP. This way if the power goes out or the touchpanel tempoarily looses connection it will maintain the same IP address. This was a concern of ours in the first system we installed. danlevine
Chambrick, do a firmware upgrade on the Touch Screen. They have fixed that problem with the latest software release.
Taylor
That, and try to turn off the sleep/standby function. I find that if you just set it to turn the screen off it almost never looses connection. I know it may eat the power more, but it helps with the connectivity.

andy.cytexone
Also, corbin, is the AP near any C4 equipment? If so, move it away from them (minus dimmers/switches because you'll go crazy otherwise). Also, any microwaves/2.4 ghz phones around? They could cause issues as well. Andy.
danlevine
It's funny, we just setup a job with 4 10.5's. everytime we upgraded the firmware on them and rebooted it would say no boot device present. The devices took a few times of pulling the battery out and turning it on and off... and then they finally turned back on...they stay connected great. csmpez
I just sent my 10.5 panel into my dealer to deal with it. It wasn't communicating anymore with the media controller/director. There might be a problem with the flashcard according to my dealer.
