Bullseye
i am going to add lighting control to 2 bathrooms in my home system. Both have the light wired together with the exhaust fan. Can I use a dimmer on them, or should I use a switch??Tnanks for your help.
thecodeman
Switch. You cannot use a dimmer to control a load like a motor. Or, seperate the loads out and have a switch for the fan and a dimmer for the light.
henniae
If the fan is wired to the light and you can't separate them you can't use a dimmer
Bullseye
Thanks alot!!I could separate them but the walls here are cinder block and its not so easy to add another switch. Probably i'll do a switch now and maybe later separate them. Thanks again!
