tebery
I am using 8 dimmable GE's in my kitchen, they work fine with the dimmers, but it is difficult getting the right dim setting. mine start to dim at about 50% then in 10% increments till i get to about 15%

RyanE
Dimmable fluorescents are a hit and miss, and *none* of them are dimmable all the way down to 0, the way incandescents are. That's not likely to change anytime soon, since fluorescents need a certain 'strike current' to start up.Hopefully, new technologies (new formulations of filament lights, LEDs, etc.) will provide something comparable to incandescents at a higher energy savings.RyanE
tebery
Sams club has them for $5.50 each (2 pack for $11). Still expensive. Also when you get below 10% they stobe off and on.
