fwiw, we have small kids in our house and use the Alexa baby crying feature connected to our c4.  See this: https://www.komando.com/technology/alexa-sound-detection/798151/  The alexa does a great job hearing baby/kids crying. I've got it setup to call out to ifttt... which then does an api push to c4 and I can take action based off that. It works flawlessly. For example, baby cries and it starts showing the crib camera on the t3/t4s in the house. Actions are endless once you get the notification into c4.

I know this doesn't answer your original question but throwing this out as an alternative. Of course, for even more simplicity, you could use a couple alexas with routines and get notified alexa to alexa setup in a few minutes.

Thank you for this I will look into it :)

  2. Is it recommended to use the touch screens intercom as monitors? i.e. so I can hear (not see) what is going on, on the 1st floor landing area in my house when we have gone to sleep as that’s where our kids rooms are and the Mrs likes to know in case they wake up in the middle of the night or calling for us, as we have a wireless touchscreen in our room.

I used it like that for a while and working well, but now I cant seem to call in to the first floor (from my room or the ground floor) it just won’t accept it.  First I thought it’s the touch screen itself, but I can select rooms turn things on and off, we just cant get the intercom to work anymore for that floor.  I have re-started it few times and still the same, is there anything else I can try to get it work again?

This is the one I got and from the same site, trying to find someone who can fit it in for me, I have bought the connectors for it, but its a bit fiddley for me unfortunately.

Did you change the the original wires in the unit to fit that power supply?

That would be it.  Same one I purchased.

Now you either have to splice into the existing wiring that goes to the board or buy the right Molex connectors to mate to the new power supply.

Unfortunately I cant get hold of this power supply  no one has it in stock anymore, so they have recommended this one in replacement https://www.digikey.co.uk/en/products/detail/xp-power/ECL25US05-T/4785611 I assume this should work?

  5. I have had my C4 audio Matrix for a while and recently it stopped working.  I contacted my dealer who then rang C4 and they said they wont repair it, but they did say we are pretty sure its the Power Supply that is causing the issue.

I live in London UK, does anyone know who can fix this for me or where can I get the part for it?

Any help or guidance would be appreciated as I don't want to spend another coupe of thousand pounds in getting a new one, cant afford it right now.

I've been having the same problem since March 31.  I think it started with a Windows 11 update that occurred around then, and I think it is related to .NET (whatever that is).  Dealer put in a ticket with C4 and they told him "Composer is not designed for Windows 11, however it will be fully compatible in the near future.  A big software update has recently been announced and I'm told it should likely roll out around the end of May (it's currently in beta-testing).  Maybe that will also include Windows 11 compatibility??"

I hope the new updated software works with Windows 11.  Thanks for this update, I shall wait patiently
