Your state comes from Control4. It looks as if the room is not on for audio or video. So it will not show you volume feedback.

This looks as if you have an issue with your system. Maybe something isn't setup correctly I would confirm all your room bindings.

Dang. Could it be a controller problem? It was working earlier today though

  2. Hi Annex4,

Can I check with you guys. Im having trouble getting volume feedback on my C4 app. It previously worked for awhile but now it just shows this. The volume control works but it should show the percentage (which it doesnt). My dealer is unsure too.

Also, it seems like the on/off state isn't always synced like the image below where my TV is on but it shows as off.

There is no issue with the previous/return that we are aware of.  We use these drivers daily in our own system.

Also this is listed right before the very first steps of installation of the driver.

NOTE: This driver must be connected over Ethernet (hardwired) to function properly, if connected over Wi-Fi your TV may not turn on reliably.

If setup correctly Volume Feedback is there, not sure where you are expecting to see it but it's sent to Control4 and you would then see it on iOS, Android and C4 Navigators.

If you setup the TV on Ethernet you would need to reconfigure the driver, the MAC address would be wrong, and you may need to change the IP.

Yes my dealer did all that (swapping MAC IDs and IPs) because he was under the impression that Wifi was fine.

Im talking about volume feedback like how Sonos does it eg. percentage is shown inside the app. Within my C4 app now there is no information on the existing volume level.

There has been an update to the driver weeks ago shuffling the prev and cancel buttons commands.

You most likely have WiFi issues causing commands to not register properly, which is way you are having apps not launch.

Volume Feedback is always there, again who knows under WiFi.

Volume feedback is supposed to be there? I'll check in with my dealer.

I had it set up on ethernet yesterday and the Apps didn't launch properly. TV is a LG C6.

So will the previous/return button be fixed soon? That's really important for users.

We DO NOT SUPPORT WiFi, this is made clear to dealers doing the training.  This would be the very reason we have not, and will not support WiFi.

The On command doesn't even work over WiFi after the TV is off for a few hours.

I think you need to talk to your dealer and have the driver and TV properly installed.

Thanks for clarifying but end-users dont quite know this. Even my dealer doesn't know it.

Anyways it would help if you could comment on the other limitations i raised above

  6. Hello

My installer installed the Annex4 LG driver for me. Over ethernet response seems good and all but if the TV isnt connected via ethernet but through wifi, the TV has a palpable lag before it registers any command (about 2 seconds). This is pretty unusable.

Also I realised it doesnt always launch the apps (on mini-drivers like Plex, Netflix).

Finally, buttons are missing in the mini-drivers for instance in Plex you dont have a back button which is really frustrating. Also, volume doesnt show feedback...

I think Annex4 has some work to do...
