Even in a power standby mode mine has a small power symbol (circle with a small line through the top) in a blue LED light located on the lower right hand side of the face plate.  When I am actively using it other symbols light up next to it as well.  What Control4 controller are you using?  I couldn't tell from your post but it would not just work on its own without having a dealer configure it to your system.

    Thanks for your reply,

    that was actually pretty helpful.

I guess my unit is toast.

I bought a set at an auction,

    so far i have a c4-amp108, the C4-16ZAMSv3-B, a C4-HC1000V3-EB, HC-300, C4-PM2-E

To be honest I have no idea how it all works but the price was too good to pass! i'll probably end up selling it all i guess!

  2. Hello guys,

I've recently got my hands on a few different Control4 unit and I am relatively noobish when it comes to these equipment.

Basically when I plug power onto the audio matrix nothing happens.

No leds or anything (I can however feel the slight spark when you connect power to an electronic device) but I was not able to test it further.

Is there supposed to be any leds whatsoever on the front?

I found the data sheet and a generic video from Control4 online but theres very little documentation to help me.

Tried plugging an audio source and outputting it but nothing happens.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated,

    Thanks!

Hmm. While  would expect it to still output, you do NOT need to feed global in to a zone, that is only if you want to loop the global out to another zone's global in.

I haven't tried this, but I wonder if when using global in, it will not work with audio sensing - so you will either have to control the amp on via relay or force it to always on (I really don't recommend that, except to try if you get audio). For that though, you WILL need the phoenix connectors.

Oh and by dip switch he means the little switch that goes between global and line in (though not the one that does bridging!)

Thank you for your reply and sorry for the late follow up.

I'll try messing around with it when I have more time.

Is there any downloadable manual online by any chance?

I only found the data sheet brochure but thats about it (https://www.control4.com/docs/product/4-zone-power-amplifier/data-sheet/english/latest/4-zone-power-amplifier-data-sheet-rev-b.pdf

    Thanks!

If you have the dip switch set to global, the inputs at that zone itself will be cut off, and that zone would use the global line in.  I'd verify you have music coming into that input, and also make sure your gain on the global input isn't turned way down.

    Thank you for the reply.

    I've did some more research,

for the global output to work, do I need to have the phoenix connectors in? not sure if thats what you were referring to when saying dip switch (or just the lil switch you move left to right)

I have no phoenix connectors with my device.

Im new to this so apologies if Im asking some super basic questions!

    Note:

When I connect my audio source to GLOBAL IN and output to GLOBAL OUT, it works fine, audio is ok

When I move the GLOBAL OUT audio cables over to say Zone 6's Line OUTPUT, and move the lil switch from line to global, nothing happens.

Also, if I have line input in say zone 5 and line output on zone 5, it works fine. if i move the switch over from line to global nothing happens (audio doesnt cut out).

    Is this normal?

    Thanks again

  5. Hello guys!

New user here; I recently acquired a used control4 c4-amp108 and I am trying to get this setup,

however for some reason I am unable to get the global line IN to work. All the zones work fine except the global in.

No audio output when I connect anything to the Global IN and out to any of the zones.

Also, when switching the mode from "line" to "global" in any of the zones, should the audio be cutting off?

right now swithing it doesnt do anything.

Did I get a defective unit?

Tried looking at the online manual but it did not help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    thanks!
