JP Rizal
Since I had to take down this TV down from the wall I thought it was a good opportunity to run the Serial cable and to use serial control instead of the IR bug.Tried it, changed drivers, changed to a couple of different types of serial cable, didn't work. Anything different about this TV or serial driver that I need to make it work?I've got three other panels that all have serial ports and supposedly serial drivers for them. I was going to start with this one and its not gone well so far :-)Appreciate any assistance or to hear similar experiences you have with this issue or this Sharp model.Cheers,
C4Programmer
It looks like it would require a driver to be created, I have found the serial protocol in the manual. PM if you are interested in having me build you a driver.
JP Rizal
Thanks C4Programmer,But there is actually driver written already quite a few actually IR and Serial even certified ones. I just couldn't get it to work. I must be missing something. Either a setting in the Sharp panel itself or something but I tried a couple types of serial cables and that was not it. I just thought someone might have experience with the Sharp unit that is might give me a clue what I'm missing.Though I have PM you for another driver that I need. Let me know if you got it.Thanks,Anyone familiar with this unit Sharp LC-65D64U[serial] much appreciated.
