Looking to fill an A/V Project Manager Position in Los Angeles

We are looking to immediately fill a FULL-TIME Audio/Video Project Manager Position. The successful candidate must have the following:

1. At least 6 years of installation/programming experience with at least 2 of those years as a Lead Installer/Programmer

2. Proven ability to manage and motivate a small team of full and part time installers

3. Be able to manage projects of various sizes at once in different geographic locations while also working on your own projects

4. Must be solution focused rather than problem focused-- when you run into a problem on a project you work on it until you can resolve it

5. Advanced knowledge of residential construction including: Framing/Structure, Low Voltage, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC

6. Intimate knowledge of interconnects of projects of all sizes

7. Intimate knowledge of the following electronic components: Home Theater, Home Automation, Distributed Audio/Video Surveillance Systems, Phone Systems, Intercom Systems and Data networks.

8. The ability to identify all the different types of cabling used in our profession as well as the standards for how cabling is terminated and placed in residential construction.

9. To be able to setup and program all systems listed above

10. Expert trouble-shooting skills to be able to quickly and logically troubleshoot any technical problems.

11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

12. Excellent references from former employers

13. To be able to lift at least 50 lbs, work on a ladder at least 8ft tall, and work in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces, wiring chases).

14. Your own set of hand-tools and some basic power tools (i.e., cordless drill)

15. Expert programming ability in Control4 and RTI or URC Control systems (all 3 is ideal)

16. Must be an expert in user interfaces with a relentless eye for most efficient key strokes, most intuitive nomenclature, competing interfaces (i.e., iPad, iTouch, iPhone), etc.

17. Must be able to interact directly with customers and work independently

18. Advanced experience with all aspects of Residential Data Networks including: the difference between Fiber, DSL and Cable, how to setup whole-house wireless networks, all the possible ways to stream content, trouble-shooting networked components, etc.

19. A clean driving record and a current, valid, California drivers license.

20. Reliable transportation to/from office and/or job-site-- no motorcycles (after probationary period you will be added to Company Van/Trailer Insurance for job transportation)

Other skills/experiences that are not required but would be welcomed include:

1. Experience in Designing/Installing Security Systems

2. Experience in Designing/Installing Phone/Intercom Systems

3. Experience in Designing/Programming Lighting Systems such as Radio RA2 or Homeworks

4. Experience in Designing/Installing Commercial Systems (i.e. PA Systems, 70V Audio Systems, etc.)

This is a salaried position (i.e., the base pay is the same each pay period) with an additional Profit Percentage bonus awarded quarterly. There is also a spot bonus for bringing in new projects. Company Laptop, smartphone and Company Credit Card will be provided. Mileage is reimbursed when you use your own transportation. The position would start immediately. The commitment is exclusively to Technospeak (i.e., no moonlighting), and would be an AVERAGE of 40hrs allocated across Tuesday through Saturday of each week (off Sunday and Monday). This means that sometimes you will work more than 40 hrs per week and sometimes you will work less. Generally appointment times are between 8:30am and 6pm. However, we do have some demanding/high profile clients that might require evening or early morning work that will be part of the job and part of the salaried pay.

Employment will be probationary for first 90 days prior to official hire so we can judge your performance in the field.

Our office is located in Inglewood, CA (just south of Hollywood Park), and the majority of our project work is in the Westside and West Valley. We will take projects however from Calabasas, to Yorba Linda to Coto De Caza, so we cover a large area. Thanks for considering us!

Compensation: $50k annually, plus: 3% Quarterly Profit Bonus, plus negotiable Spot Bonus percentage based on existing client rolodex you bring to the job
