About using esata harddriver as music storge

Recommended Posts

I'm plug in a 2TB external hard driver into HC800's esata port, but when I format the HD into ext4 file system, I find out its readonly file system, that means I have to remove it from the HC800, plug it on the PC to copy the music & video files.

And I look for the google, on the ubuntu linux forum they found out a bug of smbd, with ext4 system, so I turn it into ext3, also read only, NTFS, still read only. And I log on HC800 using SSH, the smb.conf says the media mount point is writeable. But it not.

Then how can I create a writeable filesystem for the external disk on the HC800?

Please Help.
