Internet Wireless Access Point

I have a large home and my router is downstairs. On the 3rd level I have a wireless access point that is in the office to surf the net. The problem is the access point is on the other side of the office near my desk, no where near my entertainment setup where I have an HC-300. I tried a ethernet over power connection and it did not work. Am I screwed? Is there anyway I can get a internet signal to get the HC-300 up and running? I have 2 others HC-300's that use EOP and they are working fine. Any help would be great!
