Specifically our Wiegand to serial converter which allows users to connect up to four RFID Card Readers / Keypads to one serial port on a controller. This is a great advantage over a direct serial connection which only allows for one RFID reader per serial port with a lesser transmission distance ( 50 feet compared to 500 feet over Wiegand ). The Wiegand to serial converter is easy to wire and setup with the HouseLogix Access Control Database or HACD for short.
