rchawla80
Hi everyone,I need your help desperately. I have an old media controller that I store music on. Recently, I installeed the new home composer edition to a new vista laptop and was trying to load some music onto the unit. Unfortunately, my file names are all coming up garbled with the the root name\mediacontroller\xxx rather than the actual file name. Last time we had this problem, my dealer told me its a Visa problem? I really doubt it?I even tried copying the files directly to the network drive and then scanned and it had the same names. Please help!Rahul
slemay
I doubt seriously it's Vista - as we've been running Vista here without any trouble for over a year (and we do installs using Vista notebooks).Hard to tell you what's going on - but if you're coping files to a network drive and it sees them as garbage, either you've got trouble on the network - or there are problems with your Vista notebook.
