tumult
so I'm talking to my dealer after hurricane ike displaced us and he mentioned that we could have programmed the hc300 to send me an e-mail to alert me when the power comes back on. I guess I'll have that e-mail when the next hurricane comes;) For now, I'll just have to rely on my neighbors who stayed in Houston to call me. If you haven't already done so, it may not be a bad idea and whatever other programming you can think of.tum
mfjv4
Sure, that's possible.. but there are other utility & services sensors that can be set up. The thermostat will tell you about the temperature, a ring detector can be used to tell you that the phone line is connected, the alarm industry has a device to poll a server and provide contact closure so you'd know if the internet connection is working, etc., etc..I don't frequent this forum due to time constraints, so it's unlikely I'd see any follow-on questions you might pose. sorry..mfjv4
danlevine
An easy way to do this would be in programming, when system loads. You achieve this "action" by selecting the project name in the programming section on the top left.
