charlieg Posted November 2, 2008 Share Posted November 2, 2008 Is it possible to install just a 6 button keypad. I would like to install one in a 3-way switch box. The only wire in the box is the end of 1 romex, which I assume is from the load. We don't use this 3-way switch now. If so how do I wire. If I flip the other switch for this load I turn on the keypad LEDs not the load. I connected white to white ,black to black, and green to ground. Capped off the red. danlevine Posted November 2, 2008 Share Posted November 2, 2008 Make sure the keypad is wired for Hot all the time (3 way switch location it never turns off). If you want it to control something else you would need to program one of the buttons to either be connected or linked to a dimmer/switch. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
