Zektor's very cool new preset features on our premium matrix switchers

Recommended Posts

We had one of our integrators ask for this feature to be added in our firmware so we did it as a new revision which is shipping on all current Clarity series products.

The new presets are an additional feature for "client mode" or return service call prevention.

The Clarity Elite and the Clarity Prowler now support 100 presets.

Presets allow reconfiguring the input/output mappings of the switch with the press of a single key, or the use of a single IR code. Each preset can be set to remap a single zone, or any number of zones. Only the zones you want remapped are affected, a preset does not have to remapped the whole switch, just the zones you want.

Full audio / video breakaway is supported. A preset can map the audio different than the video, or map only the audio leaving the video unchanged, or vice-versa. Any combination of audio/video and zones can be remapped with a single preset.

New front panel "Client Mode" added

-------------------------------

A front panel client mode is now supported that reconfigures the front panel to be 20 presets, and nothing else. Instead of simply locking out the front panel (which is also supported), you and can now have thefront panel configured as presets 01-20. This is ideal when the Clarityor Prowler is placed in an accessible area, like the family room, orbehind the bar at a club or in a rack. By setting up presets you can leave the client with instructions like "Press 1 to display the DVD player on screen 3, press '2' to use the projector with the cable box, etc." And since the normal front panel functions are no longer accessible, there's no

opportunity for the client to screw things up.

All IR functions continue to work in Client Mode, including all front panel options. Client Mode does not affect an IR driver's control over the switch.

We hope you like it.

Thanks.
