Thermostat Programming Issues

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Just recently moved into a house with a pretty extensive Control4 system, while I usually consider myself pretty tech savvy learning all this new stuff has been pretty overwhelming so please bear me if I am asking something simple.

The thermostats installed in my house are model number "C4-THERM".  An issue I have noticed is when I set it to a temperature, it is cooling to that exact temperature and shutting off, as soon as it raises one degree it is then starting again and cooling to that exact temperature again.  This causes the AC to turn on and off constantly which I know is not good for the longevity of the system.  While there is nothing in the installation manual for the C4-THERM about this issue, there is in the manual for the "CCZ-T1-W" which mentions a Cooling Cutoff point.

I asked the installer to set me up with a Composer HE and went into the Advanced Details of the thermostat and didn't see anything similar to this option on my thermostat.  Is this because the Home Edition would not include it or because my model on Thermostat doesn't have this option?

If the Pro edition would have this option I can just go ask the installer to make the adjustment but if this is because the models are different do you have any ideas on how the change this setting?

Thanks,
