mogrunt
In our store demo, the 2nd zone has a Rotel amp powering the speakers. It is a powerful amp compared to the speakers we're using. At only level 10 on the mini-touch the volume is strong enough. Is there a way to limit the output without a C4 multi-channel amp? Can a speakerpoint be limited?Morgan
danlevine
A speakerpoint can be limited with programming. You can set in the programming option when the volume changes if the volume > 10 then set volume = 10. This will always set it max 10. As far as the Rotel amp, how are you interfacing with that? Is it via Serial or IR?
mogrunt
Thank you. I will try that. Will that feedback be on the touchpanels? In other words, will the ramp now only represent the 10 steps available, or will 0-100 still be visible with no volume change above 10?Since it is strictly an amp, no control other than 12V triggers for power. danlevine
0-100 will still be available, but as soon as you go above 10 the meter will shoot right down.
