cinemasouthjy
Ok heres the deal. On our current project the customer has a multitdude of video sources. We installed a Key Digital Audio Video Switch to work with two seperate monitors in the same veiwing area. A challenge that we did not anticipate arose when we took two sources (Dedicated Macros Camera Multiplexer and Sony VCR) that use composite video signals. We found that the Key Digital Switch will not upconvert from composite to component. We have ordered a upconverter to fix the problem. Does anyone know if there is a Video Switch that will upconvert video signals? We are looking to make this possible without extra cost and equipment.Jimmy
Taylor
You could possibly use a higher end receiver that converts video signal. You may get into difficulties of two devices switching, but I think it would work. Althoguh if you could find it, I think an up-converting video switcher would be your best bet. AS2
Not to worry. Maranatz makes this piece. I use it ALL THE TIME with the Key Digital 8x3Maranatz VQ2400 MSRP $
HSAccess
Most likely more expensive than AS2's solution but extron makes scalers , switchers , and matrix switches. They might have a solution.
