Kwiset (black and Decker) Lock Firmware

I have installed a new Kwikset lock and noticed the firmware version on the lock is 1.04.16. The control4 Driver software states that you must have firmware version 1.05 for full functionality. Can anyone tell me how to update the firmware on the lock?

Remove the batteries, then put back in. Press top left button 4 times, then top right 4 times. Wait about 30 mins and check to see if it upgraded. I had one that was real stubborn and kept failing half way thru. The 6th time was the charm.

Thanks for the quick reply! Will try that. Tried programming based on unlocking the lock and it didnt work. I assume (hope) that's because it doesnt have the updated firmware?

The driver documentation says you have to add a relay for programming with change in lock status????Is that right?

HI,

After pressing 4 times left and right button, can we have any feedback saying that " firmware is updating " or something of that sort to understand that something is happening.
