Taylor Posted April 21, 2006 Share Posted April 21, 2006 If the MASTER CONTROLLER (controller that the programmig is on) does not have the CORRECT DNS set when using Static, and you try to search for media, the media program will freez on disc 1. After it freezes, you will lose connection from the director and the Media Controller will RESTART. Don't know why it does this but the fix is to make sure that the DNS is correct and the MC can connect to the AMG server. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had to manually search and load the rest....not a good time. Any way to ensure the player does it automatically other than enabling autoscan? I would put those settings in your router and specify in your mc the IP address of your router for your DNS settings...
