HTSYSTEMS
I have the Sony DVP-CX777ES and I will be running it through a key digital KD-DA6 component distribution amp. I will be piping it to several different receivers to go to several different TV's. I would like to be able to control the unit via any control4 mini touch screen but from within the room that it is at. So I will have the unit down in my racks with the media controller but I would like to control it without having to switch rooms on the mini touch. Any ideas? I can only have one video endpoint for component from that device. ThanksB
mbuster
You should be able to connect the DVD output to more than one TV. It would then be accessible from the MT in any room with a TV connected to the DVD changer.
pgorey
is it possible to have the HTC split to two tvs to allow for use of the OSD via a remote in two different rooms.
slemay
Yes - but it's not advisable... as the HTC doesn't work well like that - and you'll have to manually change the room on the HTC for this to work. I think you'd be much more frustrated than satisfied with a solution like this - to the point where just spend the extra $$$ for a 2nd HTC. I sell this concept to all my customers and very rarely have one that doesn't agree (or doesn't come back later to add another HTC onto a different TV). danlevine
We actually do this frequently now feeding the HTCs into a video switch and assigning them to a couple of rooms each. With 1.3 the room switch happens very quickly as soon as you press the 4 button in that room.
