jbs
We're looking at HVAC proposals for a new construction house in which we're planning to put Control4. Everyone seems to think the Carrier Infinity system is the way to go.My question is whether the Control4 thermostat can control it.Has anyone here had experience with this unit, will it work with Control4? I only found one mention of it in the forums, from several months ago someone posting a Wish List item for a driver for it.With all the updates of late I thought someone might know whether it's now supported or might be soon.Thanks!--Jason
danlevine
If it uses a standard thermostat you will have no problem whatsoever. I would run an additional wire for a common so you can do power stealing easily with the thermostat.Dan
jbs
Hi Dan, thanks for the reply. That's the problem, Carrier Infinity does not use a standard thermostat as far as I know. It uses a zone dampering system to condition 2 zones from one unit (or in this case 3 zones from 2 units). What I'm trying to figure out is if anyone has already successfully (or unsuccessfully) tried to control this HVAC from a Control4 system.--Jason
