stinggray Posted December 12, 2006 Share Posted December 12, 2006 I am thinking of getting the Control4 MC but only if it can do 2 way serial. From what have been reading this is only the case with exclusive equipment like the Sony DVD changer. Fill me in if I'm wrong. Dose Control4 plan on releasing the serial protocol? I would like to integrate a MC with MainLobby and my Xantech MRC88 as well. Has any one had success with either one of these using rs232? danlevine Posted December 14, 2006 Share Posted December 14, 2006 There is no Serial control of Control4 yet... AKA Serial In... There is only serial output. If you want to create a serial driver you need the SDK, which I can tell you is not an easy/pleasant experience.C4 is supposed to be releasing by the next major release a Rs232 Control of the system which will be awesome.
