ruckus Posted January 9, 2007 Share Posted January 9, 2007 My install is currently using a linksys router. The installer said this router is only used for the wireless LCD keypad. I am having trouble getting video chat on my Mac to work with this router. Can I switch to an apple airport router. If so what are the critical settings that I must change so that the LCD will work. I think the only important part is the SSID but am not sure. The installer was not sure when I asked him the same question. danlevine Posted January 10, 2007 Share Posted January 10, 2007 If you are going to have another AP on the same wireless network you need to set it to the same SSID / WEP settings as well as making sure it's on a different channel than the other unit. Also make sure the channels are at least 5 apart. ie 1, 6, 11Airport Extreme's are awesome APs. We use them all the time. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
