smhelfman Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 So after rock solid performance for 2+ years, all of a sudden several of my dimmers cause my lights to flicker when shutting off or turning on. Have not made any changes to ramp rates or other dimmer settings in those 2+ years. Are these dimmers going bad or could it be something with the programming? Seems too coincidental that several dimmers could be going bad at the same time and causing all these lights to flicker when turning on or off. Any ideas? Has anyone experienced this before? MHotchin Posted November 13, 2011 Share Posted November 13, 2011 This happens regularly at our house, always because of power fluctuations.Curing it around here is just as simple as killing the power to the dimmer (either by turning of the circuit breaker, or by lifting the small tab at the top of the rocker) and restoring power after a few seconds.You could also do a factory reset (which also works, at least at my house), but that affects things like LED colors and such.
