HAI/UPB Compatibility?

I believe I had read that 1.3 has HAI compatibility - does it simply control security or does it also control HAI thermostats and lighting as well? If it does not control HAI, does it control UPB lighting (the standard utilized by HAI)?

I would highly encourage you to develop the UPB drivers - it would be pretty simple as the serial interface Powerline Interface Module (PIM) is readily available and the detailed specifications on how to interface to it are contained on the PCSLighting web site. I know that C4 also sells a line of lighting products - but many HAI owners have opted to go with HAI's UPB line of lights. I am in that category and would love to utilize C4 for my whole house audio and wireless touchpads - but I'm not ready to rip out 40+ switches that work perfectly just to be able to integrate to C4.

I would think that C4 would recognize the opportunity as C4 for audio control and integration is a perfect fit for those of us with HAI security and UPB lighting. Both AMX and Crestron offer connectivity to HAI and UPB.

It's more an issue of priorities. When we already have what we consider to be a very good lighting solution, it's lower on the priority list to integrate 3rd-party lighting.

The UPB / HAI lighting has been proposed as one of the things we work on, but it has not been assigned a priority as of yet.
