A lot of split units are compatible with Control4. There are many drivers by Alan at Chowmain. Take a look at Airzone or Intesis, they make wireless interfaces for a lot of manufacturers. I am upgrading my single zone ductless to a ducted version, and will be using the Airzone for it. Currently I have a Daikin with their wifi split driver. The Airzone driver is free manufacturer sponsored driver, and Intesis is a paid driver. I have used the Intesis, and it works great, as has the Daikin wifi split driver. Wil be trying the Airzone out in a few weeks, once my system is installed.

Powershades are also nice. I have a few in my house, that I put in after my Lutron QEDs finally died, and so far, I have had no issues. They are not as quiet as the QED's were, but not a big deal for me or my wife. Install was soooo easy over POE.

If you use the dealer you purchased the licenses through, they can transfer them to the new controller. If you use another dealer, as long as they have a Driver Central account, they can get you transferred to their account, and then transfer the license to your new controller
