Samsung UD55E-b is the model. we have 20 of these to put in as 5 video walls. I am having a difficult time figuring out how to calculate the checksum. (Newbie here)
was told there was driver for these displays and that the command protocol hasn't changed in 10 years on these devices. ANYONE?
install is 15 days away. need to prove this works or SPLAT, Egg on my face
attached is the command protocol from samsung.
need only ON-OFF-HDMI 1-HDMI 2-VGA-DP-DVI-Discreet Volume if possible-
Also looks like it can be controlled via ip as well.
THANK YOU!link is for entire doc and attached is the relevant pages

We have control of these via IP and Serial, was custom built for a project. Let us know if you still need a solution.

The driver is available for purchase on the website for dealers.

What Control4 version are you running?
Are these six button keypads the old 2 wide 3 high version?

My understanding was that this particular amp was a "dumb" amp - it really only has RCA inputs, sensitivity knob, Stereo/line in vs global selector and a bridge selector per zone. No ethernet connection, nothing that would make it be "special".... Am I mistaken?
Are you sure you have the right part #? The C416AMP3B doesn't have global inputs.

Confirm you have the correct MAC address in the driver and not the old WiFi one.

If your TVs are properly setup with static IPs the traffic should traverse the switch and have nothing to do with the router. LG hasn't removed WOL, the setting on the new TVs states WOL over wireless, but enabling does both.
It think you should talk to your dealer about some proper troubleshooting and see what has changed.

If it's the same API you get the same control. Give it a try. It's FREE

1005 - if that sounds right?
Either annex4 or another company.

I've been pretty disappointed with the Doorbird so far. The app is okay, although I have had issues where they're gone before I get the notification - usually when I'm out of the house. However, the biggest disappointment is how unreliable it's been with the touchscreens. For a while, when initially set up, when you pressed the button, the touchscreens would ring and show up video right away. However, it was less than a day before this stopped working. Eventually, my installer got it working again, but it also stopped working again the same day. Currently, it almost never works. Not sure if it's the driver or something else, but the doorbird is hard wired and seems to be setup properly in C4.
Which driver are you using?

If the TV loses power it won't turn back on, the webserver in the TV doesn't start back up until powered on manually.

I got a response from Samsung directly, admitting that the firmware is not yet available in Canada. They expect it to be released in September sometime.
Who at Samsung told you this?

The IP Control firmware should be released for the US for all supported 2017 Samsung TVs, I don't know if there's a separate release date elsewhere (i.e. Canada).
Sorry.
RyanE
Thanks for the info. I've even checked the US website, and the posted firmware on the MU models pages is older then what you get via auto update. Is there a version number that is the minimum required? The version in Canada seems to be the same others in the US have that are having issues with the settings missing.

From the official C4 forums where this is also being discussed:
"I know this sounds weird, but have you tried just pressing the "pair TV" command in the driver? I had a dealer call today reporting a missing menu on his 2017 Samsung. He had already entered the IP and WOL settings. I pressed the pair button, and a prompt popped up immediately on the screen. He accepted it, and it controlled fine after that."
Doesn't do anything on the MU7000. I don't know how 2 companies work together to make a driver, yet neither has info on how to get firmware that makes this work, or a real date on when this is supposed to be live.

The Expert Settings aren't even an option on any of the MU sets we have (75MU8000, 40MU7000, 49MU7000) and they still all say no update available. what firmware version do you all have? I'm on 1106 and have ZERO Expert Settings in the network menu
I have the same, I don't know why it's so hard to find a release date.

When using the driver (either IP or RS232), the UDP-203 will power on but hang on boot with the startup logo on the screen. If I manually power it off and then on with the Oppo remote after, it works fine. Has anyone else run into this behavior?
Firmware version?
Driver version?
Control4 version?
It happens using IP or RS232?
How was it previously turned off?
Is network standby enabled?
Does it do this everytime?

I am using one controller running on a Amazon cloud. It has 16+ projects in it now. Will the driver allow this configuration to work, or will it require a dedicated controller for each customer location?
Happy Automating!
I doubt your scenario will be tested, feel free to try the driver. The problem will be that most functions pass through the controller. With the controller onsite every likely works mouch more smooth, especially if there is an issue with internet connection.

I doubt that, more a project problem.

Your state comes from Control4. It looks as if the room is not on for audio or video. So it will not show you volume feedback.
This looks as if you have an issue with your system. Maybe something isn't setup correctly I would confirm all your room bindings.

The Dresden controllers are great and work with a Phillips Hue bridge and are super compact.
