I had a question regarding the C4 (Aprilaire) thermostats and if they had the ability to communicate with one another to control other thermostats controlling different zones. Here is my dilemma, and I welcome any solutions that anyone has found or is aware of! We have a C4 system installed in our two-story home in the desert southwest. Our home was built with two A/C condensers to cool the home (one for the first floor and one for the second floor) with a total of five HVAC "zones" (two on the first floor and three on the second floor) with each zone being controlled by a C4 thermostat. During the summer, like many, we are on an electric plan where energy rates during peak hours are very high. There are times where one zone/thermostat on say the second floor kicks on the condenser to cool that particular zone then turns off only for another thermostat to kick back on a few minutes later to cool another zone on the very same floor. In an ideal world, if the condenser had to turn on to cool one zone on one floor, I would love to have the other zone(s) on the same floor to turn on as well (in other words, open all zones being served by that condenser) to make best use of that floor's condenser when it is on. Is that something that is possible with the thermostats or some other programming perhaps within Composer Home Edition? Thank you very much for any suggestions!

Thank you both! I have used Composer HE to program so much when it comes to lighting scenes, keypad buttons, etc., but I am clueless when it comes to media /music library in the C4 space. My wife and I have agreed on and downloaded a favorite white noise (half the battle...lol). Apologies in advance for my naivety, but how do I add this particular audio file to my C4 music library and create an action to make a playback loop with this? Once I learn how to do this, I can take it to the next level like mujtaba suggests but I am clearly not there yet when it comes to my C4 programming abilities...lol Thanks again!

Thanks for the suggestion, ejn1! Tidal is great, but my family wants to stick with Apple Music as their subscription music service. [Insert frustration with lack of integration between C4 and Apple Music here]. And, I would like to avoid paying another subscription just for a white noise loop. Other ideas?

Long time lurker and learner, first time poster. I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere, but I was unable to find a previous thread on this topic. I am looking to create an action (that I can assign to a keypad press or custom button) to play an audio file that is continuously repeated (specifically, a loopable white noise MP3 file) and played through our master bedroom speakers while I sleep. Given some of the awesome things that some of you have programmed into your C4 systems, this seems like it should be something relatively easy to do. My dealer suggested that I use the Announcements agent, but I could not figure out how to make the file repeatedly play in a continuous loop throughout the night. It would be great if I could have the noise gradually become louder at bedtime and, even better, to gradually fade away upon awakening / turning off in the morning, but for now, I would be happy with just the ability to play such an audio file through C4. Running Director OS 3.1.0. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you in advance.
